What You’ll Learn
Our International Programs are Globally Certified and recognized as Global Coach Accreditation levels teh same as the International Coaching Federation (ICF), European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC), Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE).
Associate Level
Overview:
- Often the entry-level credential for new coaches.
- Designed to validate foundational coaching skills and knowledge.
WCI – Associate Certified Coach (ACC):
- Minimum of 60 hours of coach training from an accredited provider.
- At least 100 hours of coaching experience with a specified number of clients (e.g., 8+ clients).
- 10 hours of mentor coaching (coaching on your coaching) by a qualified mentor coach.
- Successful completion of a performance evaluation (e.g., recorded coaching session) and a knowledge-based exam.
Key Competencies:
- Understanding and demonstration of core coaching competencies (listening actively, powerful questioning, setting the foundation, creating awareness, etc.).
- Ability to conduct effective, structured coaching sessions, though still developing mastery.
Professional/Practitioner Level
Overview:
- Mid-level credential signifying a deeper understanding of coaching competencies, ethical standards, and professional practice.
- Demonstrates a coach’s capacity to handle a broader range of client issues and contexts.
ICF – Professional Certified Coach (PCC):
- Minimum of 125 hours of coach training from an accredited provider.
- At least 500 hours of coaching experience with a specified number of clients (e.g., 25+ clients).
- 10 hours of mentor coaching.
- Successful completion of a performance evaluation (recorded sessions demonstrating advanced coaching skills) and a knowledge-based exam.
Key Competencies:

Senior/Advanced Practitioner Level
Overview:

- Often includes evidence of deeper theoretical knowledge, reflective practice, and more significant contributions to the coaching profession.
EMCC – Senior Practitioner
- Evidence of extensive coaching hours (often in the hundreds).
- An advanced level of mentoring or supervision hours.
- In-depth portfolio demonstrating reflective practice, case studies, and an understanding of multiple coaching models.
Key Competencies:

- Ability to coach at a high level of complexity, handling challenging or multifaceted client scenarios effectively.
- Regular engagement in peer supervision, advanced personal development, and possibly advanced research on coaching practices.
Master Level
Overview:
- Highest or near-highest level of recognition offered by many accrediting bodies.
- Indicates mastery of coaching competencies, as well as significant impact within the coaching community and/or thought leadership in the field.
WCI – Master Certified Coach (MCC):
- Minimum of 200 hours of coach training from an accredited provider.
- 2,500+ hours of client coaching experience (with a minimum number of clients).
- 10 hours of mentor coaching at the master level.
- Rigorous performance evaluation (reviewing multiple recorded coaching sessions) and often a comprehensive application process.
Key Competencies:
- Deep, almost intuitive mastery of core competencies—powerful rapport-building, nuanced questioning, and transformational results.
- Embodiment of coaching presence and consistent ethical practice.
- Often recognized as leaders, mentors, or teacher-coaches who inspire the broader coaching community.
Specialized or Niche Credentials
In addition to core coaching credentials, many coaches pursue specialized accreditations in niche areas such as:
- Executive Coaching
- Health & Wellness Coaching
- Career Transition Coaching
- Relationship & Family Coaching
- Team or Group Coaching
These specialized credentials typically require additional training hours in the chosen niche, as well as case studies or practice hours specific to that domain.
Ongoing Requirements and Continuing Education
Most accrediting bodies require coaches to participate in Continuing Coach Education (CCE) to maintain their credentials. This can include:
- A set number of continuing education units (CEUs) or CCE units every renewal cycle.
- Active coaching hours to demonstrate continued practice.
- Reflective logs, supervision, or mentor coaching to maintain and sharpen coaching competencies.
